Privacy and cookies

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This notice explains how Edward Jospé, trading as Jospé Coaching, handles personal information relating to website visitors, prospective clients and coaching clients. The original website policy has been used as a starting point and updated to reflect the current draft website. It is not legal advice and should be checked against your actual business practices before publication.

Who to contact

If you have questions about this notice or how your information is used, email contact@jospecoaching.com.

What information may be collected

If you contact me, I may receive your name, email address, telephone number and the information you choose to include in your message. If we discuss coaching, I may keep correspondence and relevant notes needed to arrange or provide coaching. Please do not send highly sensitive personal information by ordinary email unless it is necessary and you are comfortable doing so.

Like most websites, the hosting service and security systems may process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, and server logs. The OneTrust cookie preference tool may store information needed to remember your cookie choices.

How information is used

Depending on the context, processing may be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with legal obligations, or for legitimate interests such as managing and improving the practice. Where consent is required, I will ask for it.

How long information is kept

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting, insurance or professional requirements. The previous policy referred to a two-year period for enquiry records; that period should only be applied where it remains appropriate to the current record and applicable obligations. You can ask about the retention of your information.

Who information may be shared with

I do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers where needed to operate the practice or website. For example, if you choose to book through Calendly, that booking is handled by Calendly under its own terms and privacy notice. When you click an external link, such as a Google Maps route or a coaching organisation, that provider's own privacy and cookie practices apply. The website does not embed a contact form; clicking the email link opens your own email application, and the information you send is transmitted by your email provider.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, for professional insurance or accreditation purposes where appropriate, or to establish or defend legal claims. I will seek permission before sharing identifiable client information for an optional professional audit unless another lawful basis applies.

Storage and security

Reasonable measures are used to protect personal information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and information sent by email may pass through systems operated by your email provider.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, objection to certain processing, or a copy of information you provided. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent. To exercise a right, email contact@jospecoaching.com.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. The original website listed ICO registration reference A8748466; this should be checked against the current ICO register before being displayed publicly.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses OneTrust to display and remember cookie preferences. It also uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-R7G8RQCC9J) to understand how visitors use the website. The Google Analytics tag is assigned to the OneTrust Performance/Analytics consent category and is configured not to execute until that category is allowed. The live website must be tested after deployment to confirm that the consent banner, category settings and tag blocking work as intended.

Essential storage may be used to provide website security and remember your cookie choices. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about website usage, such as pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device information. Google processes information under its own terms and privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy. No third-party social-media advertising pixels or non-Google analytics scripts are intentionally installed on this website. Links to external services such as Calendly, Google Maps and social networks only take you to those services when you choose to click them; their own privacy and cookie practices then apply. The website also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which may cause your browser to connect to Google to retrieve the fonts.

You can reopen the OneTrust preference centre using the button below, if the service is available, and you can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect the behaviour of websites.

This website contains links to other organisations and services. When you follow those links, you leave this website and the other provider's privacy notice applies.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated as the website, services or legal requirements change. The latest revision date is shown at the top of this page.
